Just found this on youtube!!

For a air test or should I call it a deck test, lol It gives you a good idea what it's like running in 2 tone AM and just how much it can help you when your in areas with A LOT OF IRON.

This spring I was working a farm field and was having a lot of problems picking up any good targets because of all the iron in the ground and I was running in Pattern1 with 4 tones and some times I was using AM with 4 tones but with not much luck. I was chatting with Terry " Goes4ever " about this field and the problems I was having and he told me to use TTF, That's what the etrac boyz. so the next time I was at this field I set the xterra up in 2 tone AM and I could not believe how much difference it made in finding good targets. It's like it made the reset speed of the MDer so much faster. so after that every time I am in a farm field I run in 2 tone AM it really helps to pick up a coin that is right beside a piece of iron and also I want to dig everything above iron. I also use 2 tone AM when I am in a yard up close to the house where their is a lot of nails. I just have to look at the screen a lot more to see the numbers to see if it is something that I want to dig.

I"m courios to see what the comments on this thread is,I"m considering to order me a 7.5k 10" DD coil tommorow but this video got to thinking about the 5x10 for the seperation abilty of the coil or is the ability to seperate better or the same between the two?
I think I would rather have the MF coil I seen in Randys book that the MF is better for finding silver than the 18.75 is and the 10x5 don't come in a 7.5.
Real interesting how the signal cleared up between the 99 tone and the 4 tone in the video thanks for posting it.
Still alote to learn for me with the705.

I also use the 5x10 and like it quite alot. However, for silver it's the 3 KHz for me. I guess the 3KHz is quite the rage right now and kinda hard to find. Good Luck with your decision.

In open places that 5x7 is great for covering more ground. But in trashy areas when you are probably going to run the 2 tone the 6 inch dd is going to have the advantage with a shorter field because of the length top to bottom. Even if its high iron it's going to be easier to pinpoint and not get the wrap around effect of the iron on the ends. Being the width of the 5x7 is less than the 6inch it might get some more wrap around from the sides. I was just at the beach and had to cover a lot of ground so I used the 5x7. I switched this morning to 6inch to cover a light trash park. All metal(gonna start trying Diggers suggestion of a no notched pattern more since I have the hang with this maching)is used in light trash parks. 2 tone is used in heavy trash and has been working great, coins and silver jumps at you with the 6 in 18khz coil also. That video really shows the minute seperation of iron and coin so close together.

Also thanks digger again for any info. Most of what I said has been he wrote the book on literally. Thanks again.

The 7.5 DD does not separate as quickly as the HF DD's do, however there is a significant difference in depth capability. The MF coil seems to lock on to a more stable TID as well -on the silver end of the spectrum.
The HF sniffs out nickles and lower conductivity targets much better.
I can't imagine not having both.
I really enjoy the way the 7.5 DD hits hard on a good target, and I also love the quicker response of the HF's.
Get the one you want more for the way you hunt now and add the other one later.

Glad you found it to be useful..

Keith

Thanks Keith!
It is an excellent illustration.

thats a great feature , all metal 2 tone sounds like somthing i would love to use,

Thank you Keith. That was very interesting. Can't wait to try that out next time I'm at the Park.
