Just got back from a days hunt.

Weather was 50s and windy but when I was a kid I was shoveling snow off the ice so we could skate.
I said something the other day about "I dig more Large cents than Memmorials" I wasn't trying to boast, its just that the areas I hunt don't produce very many new coins.
Bulls nose ring.
Part of spoon.
Buckle.
2 Buttons.
a nickel.
Some kind of shield.
A dodad to hold up nylons.
A tiny thing with a square hole and writting.
Last but not least a Large Cent.
Everything needs cleaning.

You are the LC magnet. I found one solitary LC this year, some yeras I have found a dozen or so. What do you suppose that shield thing is? I have dug 2 of them and Ed Fedory (B.O.N.E. 2004) said they were an inlay to a musket, but that didn't make sense. I think maybe they were part of a horse tack, kind of like a rosette. Have a good Christmas and maybe we'll hunt after the holiday. Supposed to get rain and freezing rain, but it ain't snow and you don't have to shovel it. Ron
