The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Just Ordered New 3030

Hi All

Well I decided to take the plunge and ordered a 3030 from Big Boy's today. Thanks for the help Bart.

I had been toying around with the idea for a while and was trying to decide between the 3030 and an E-trac. Well I decided on the 3030 cause I thought I would always be wondering If I had the best machine for my type of hunting and conditions. That is working pounded trashy areas for silver and trying to go deeper than my other machines.

I have an older Excal, GP 3000 and Quattro. Also have some other mid level machines from other Co's but haven't been finding coins below 6" and no silver in a long time.

Anyway I'm optimistic that the 3030 will cure that silver drought. Be prepared as I'll probably be posting with lots of questions. There is lots of good info on the forum which should help with the learning curve.

I'm in the same boat as you, just got mine last week and it's very intimidating to say the least. Right out of the box I went to a local park and tried the "coin" mode but wound up digging nothing but foil so I realized that I MUST read the instruction manual first. A lot to learn but now I know what to look and listen for so I'm ready for my first "official" hunt very soon.

If anything can cure a silver drought it is the CTX 3030. I really loved my E-Trac for finding silver from that "hunted out" site, and it did a great job, but the CTX 3030 is doing even better. Just ask my hunting buddy who is still using a E-Trac.
