Just saying hello....

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Been several days since I posted but you are in my thoughts & prayers whether I'm able to take time to post or not. :)

I told y'all about the ordeal with my parents (specifically my mother) right after Christmas and how it really hit the fan when we tried to take her keys or get them to move to SC with my sister. I will spare you the details of all the events in the days that followed that episode, but they finally consented to move to SC to live with Pat. It was a whirlwind move that left me to deal with cleaning out the house and getting it prepared for the folks we have rented it to. I have been super busy and exhausted trying to deal with everything.

To add to the issues we were already dealing with, my daddy fell two days after he got to SC and broke his back. They didn't know if he would survive surgery but if he didn't have it he was going to be paralyzed. He had the surgery last Tuesday and came through it with flying colors! :) He is in rehab now and doing very well for a man of 84! I drove 5 1/2 hours (one way) and back - twice in a week. It has been a long hard road since Christmas but I believe we are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. My garage is packed FULL of things from my parent's house that I'm gonna have to deal with and find a place for. I sure dread THAT job!!!! Got to start it soon though, cause we can't walk through there as it is now!

Work is great!!! Still loving it even though it's a load!!! Believe it or not, I got a job offer today to go back to teaching at a local middle school, but turned it down to stay right where I am. Not sure what my answer would have been if it had been one of the two high schools of my choice, but for now I am completely happy with what I'm doing. I do miss teaching but I'm doing okay right where the Lord has me for now. :)

Just wanted to update and say hey!

Lisa

Good to see ya sis. Praying for the family and glad you are enjoying that new job!

Hi Lisa! It's so good to see you here and so glad everything worked out with your folks. You're in my prayers always, as are all those here on the forum.

Good to hear from you Lisa and, although it has been a long and hard trial concerning your parents, it seems to be working out in God's plan for them....Praise God that they were with your sister when your dad fell and able to get help and surgery! Very glad to hear that you are still enjoying and are happy with your job and, yes, it is in God's plan for you as of now...but don't work too hard and get yourself so tired that your health fails...Remember, One day at at time and one step at a time, Sweet Jesus! He is faithful and by leaning on and trusting in Him everything will work out for the best for you and family, as He loves you with an everlasting love and only wants the best for you through your prayers prayed in faith! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Good to hear from you again Lisa. We are waiting for the warm weather and the yard sales to start up here in Indiana.

Yall sound like you have been really busy. Praying for your family.

Praying for you, Lisa. Your post alone is overwhelming. I pray things settle down quickly. Good to hear from you!
