Great finds! I like my 11x6 but have to be careful digging in the dry ground. Shoulder can’t take it!!
It's a pretty simple unit to operate. I pretty well stay with the zero disc/25 kHz, unless I hit the woods, where I run zero disc with multi freq. or 5 kHz making it more sensitive to higher conductors like copper and silver.
Digging in tough dry ground has it's challenges. I always use a screwdriver to pop my targets out of the ground or at least loosen the dirt around it. I too have a sore shoulder at times. That's part of being 70.
Well, we have an active metal detecting group in Edmonton with a membership of 1,524. Of course, that doesn't equate to all those people running around beeping.
