.... it's pretty much all gone today out on the farm they are detecting. Bubba dug a ring tailed sharps and was digging something else when we talked. Bubba siad the weather wasn't too bad.

...Keith and Bubba will pick me up then we head to a new 50 acre site, (cattle ranch, fields and woods near Weatherford, VA) to hunt the afternoon.

During the French and Indian wars Braddocks troops were all through this area and during the Civil War, Weatherford changed hands from Yanks to Rebs almost daily. There is even an old late 1700's cabin foundation on the site that was occupied from the original owner / builder and with various other folks up until the 1950's.

According to the owner, my customer, it has never been detected with permission. The owner is pumped because we have an extra detector for either him or his grandkids to use while we are there.

If it's promising, we'll go back Thursday then after DIV, Keith and I will go again on Monday.

.... he wants us to teach his grandkids how to detect. I think they first need to learn how to dig all my holes When they get real good at that, we'll let them try a detector.
