With gold in the 4-figure range;when any of us go detecting;the chances of finding something gold and selling it for $$$'s to supplement our income is a REAL possibility...I took some of my gold rings-and that platinum ring-to my brother in law a couple weeks ago.He told me I would probably be better off selling them for scrap value,as opposed to someone buying it for their own use....I think the odds of finding something gold out in the field is better than 50/50,so LETS GO AND FIND GOLD!!!

I told Vicky not to expect to see me too much during the summer I just picked up a 10 X 14 exceleratoor coil for the beach and plan on going after work at least 3x per week plus Sat and Sunday after church. After selling most of my gold finds and buying my wife a beautiful diamond with the $ (to replaced the one in her engagement ring that she lost), let's just say I have "carte blanche" when it comes to detecting. Still have a couple of rings that I kept including the one with nice ice.
