Won't get to do any MD'ing at the beach until Tuesday, but it looks like that'll be a good day to go. Yesterday alone there were 180,000 people at the beach; today should be about the same (day two of the big air show) and then there's tomorrow. I'm thinking someone will have probably dropped something :) Maybe I'll have something to post :)

Take care,

Joe G

Good to see you bro! Hope you find some goodies!

Darn, I should have taken a pic of the sunrise!!! It was spectacular. Sometimes, I'm just so in awe of how beautiful the beach is at that time around here, I don't even think about taking a shot :)

Well, it certainly seems that all of these stupid MD shows on TV are keeping my local MD dealer's business going. He sells Whites, and I'm seeing a ton of new people with 'em. I'd have to say there were at least 30 or more people with MD's at one point (and it was a weekday morning). Fortunately, most of them hunt the dry sand and shy away from the shallow surf. They also tend to not keep up with the hobby when they find their new detector is not a gold finding magic wand LOL. However, it's not really "crowded". The beach itself is about 7 miles long and I normally hunt about 2 miles of it. Plenty of real estate :)

Unfortunately, my buddy had to cancel out but I did bump into a couple of regulars. My friend Manny scored a nice little 14K white gold ring with a small diamond in it and an absolutely HUGE bling-bling kinda watch. Broken band but it was still tickin' Can't believe anyone would actually wear that ugly thing :)

My first target was a little (junk) bracelet with "Love, Joy and Peace" going around it. Made me smile :) After that, a small copper bracelet, a very large fake diamond earring and about a buck in clad. Not great but a great day find-wise but a really nice day to be out. The surf was fairly calm at first but this storm moving up the coast really started to churn things up as the morning moved on. At one point, a (rogue) wave came up that almost got my iphone (something I never keep in my pocket at the beach) :) That wouldn't have been good :)

Take care and HH!

You don't know many times I've thought, "Man, Steve would just love this... " Heck, you wouldn't even need a sweatband

beach to hunt so digging would be easier and I would probably go :detecting: , too! And, oh yes, on the TV ads, the White's Detectors show whats under the ground before you dig it! LOL!!! Not as easy as they say in finding those coinies and relics! May God Bless you and Vicky with health and happiness in Lord Jesus! Amen! Ma

Sounds like a great day - wish there had been more for you to find.
