Justification by Faith Alone

Galations 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me"

Read for This Week's Study: Gal. 2:15-21; Eph. 2:12; Phil. 3:9; Rom. 3:10-20; Gen. 15:5, 6; Rom. 3:8.

Galatians 2:15-21
15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, 16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. 17

for the Old Testament was fulfilled by Jesus' death upon the cross with His New Testament giving to us by His living again to send us a Comforter by believing in Him and not any other gods...which are man-made also! Jesus is Lord and Savior of all and He is God with us! Amen! Ma Betty

Hi MaBetty,
What you say "for the Old Testament was fulfilled by Jesus..." is true. Jesus did fulfill the Mosaic Law but the Ten Commandment Law remains until Jesus returns to take us all home. To be with Jesus will be incredible and I'm looking forward to it, as I know you are as well.

and with all thy mind (Jesus is saying) This is the first and greatest commandment and the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.....On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. He had answered the Pharisee lawyer's question, who was temping Him! If we truly keep these commandments we will have the love of Jesus within us and live for Him by worshipping God in spirit and in truth! Praise God for His mercy of dying so He could leave us His new Will and Testament, so we don't have to keep all the laws like they were supposed to in the Old Testament and could not keep from breaking just one and if one was broken they all were broken! God's love is merciful and full of grace for His people who keep our faith in Jesus! Amen! Ma Betty
