I've seen a couple of GQs now that have had leaky, or failing main reservoir capacitors. This could be attributable to the
 
By the way, the goop in the pictures is hot melt adhesive to stop the capacitors moving around and suffering from lead breakage. It is not leaking electrolyte. The capacitors were mounted this way, as there was not enough vertical height in the box to mount them normally on the board.

I hope you've not been inundated, by anxious owners. I completely forgot that people not familiar with electronics and production techniques could easily mistake the hotmelt. Many apologies to all.

Eric, the fact that the cap is mounted off the board in the GQ, saved it from track damage, so it is a good feature!

The image shows what to look for, crusty stuff, either at the top or the bottom of the cap. Also grungy stuff along the crease of the case near the cap.
