Well I'm no rocket scientist (okay I am, shhhhh!), but the nut running all the way down and bottoming out would be counter productive. The threaded shaft the coil feeds out of is castellated (visible in the attached and skillfully done photogragh). As the nut is drawn or tightened down, this design compresses on the outer lining of the cable and serves two purposes. 1) Not allowing the cable to be pulled loose or from inside the coil without extreme force and, 2) It compresses against the outer coating of the wire, basically turing it into a gasket and doing so under very light pressure (essentially finger tight), making a water proof fit.

If you were to over torque the nut and able to make it bottom out against the coil housing, you would actually create a potential leak, having defeated its very affective, yet simple design. Obviously, two different people will have their own version of "finger tight" due to physical strength and dexterity. I would suggest NOT using any type of tool (pliers, wrenches, etc.) and only snug it down finger tight. Finally, each time you take out the coil for use, add verifying the nut is snug (finger tight) to your regular preventative maintenance program and certainly, prior to using it in the presence of water.

look at all the coils in stock in ur kellyco wearhouse and tell me how many do the the same think ..look at your xcals and your garretts and whites detectors u guys sell and tell me how many do not bottom out i got this from ebay and i have to wait a few days to leave feedback

Yup I will first thing. I've been out sick since Thurs.

Hang tight!

I castellated part of the fitting acts like a compression ring and squeezes the coil wire to keep in place, the nut is not designed to bottom out just squeeze the castellated section of the fitting to the coil wire.

I believe your good to go, just don't over tighten.

He said he decided he was going to marry me when I looked almost the same without makeup as with. Frankly for me? I just don't want to spend tons of time on make up! If I'm doing something special I put more on but day to day...pretty simple!! I'll see if I can find a pic lol...
