Killer B's on the GT.

I have done a search for this subject and the amount of headphone discussions is incredible. I am guilty myself for partaking in the discussion over the years. I just want to know if anyone currently is using Killer B headphones with their Sovereign GT. What do you think, do the tones sound distinguished to you? There is so much debate about 32 ohms vs 150 ohms etc etc. I know in the past I have said 32 ohms are the only way to go. No I am questioning my original belief. I just want some comments from you guys in regards to the Killer B's on the SOV GT.

Thanks in advance
Jason

I'd look into the Sunray Pro Golds. Many prefer them on the Sovereign and they do have a limiter so you can crank the volume all the way up on the Sovereign and not have surface targets blast you. If I had the money I would buy a pair. I'm using $20 Sony Studio headphones from Walmart. They have excellent audio but they don't have a limiter so I have to keep the volume all the way down. I seem to still be able to hear deep faint targets this way, but Minelab suggests turning the volume all the way up will give you the best chance to hear those deep targets.

Thanks for the reply guys. But I am still looking for someone who has direct experience with Killer B's on their GT. I am so hung up on Des Dunne saying that you have to use 32ohm headphones on the GT.

Thanks again
Jason

Hi I just looked it up on the user manual and minelab recomend using headphones between 32 - 100 ohms. Hope this helps

Hi Jason i never used Killer B,s on my GT but i have been using for 2 years now Black Widows and i have had no problems i love those HP,s ok ill admit you can have someone standing next to you talkng and you will not hear them :detecting:
Jim

Specifications: Black Widow

extoyboy is right though - the documentation shows 32-100 ohms. I have a set I made that is 600 ohms, and works just fine on the GT. I also have some that are less than 32 ohms that work - it's mostly "what works for you that you are comfortable with".
