KY state seal question:

A

Went out Sunday and found a few coins and several tokens. Also found a KY state seal button that was smaller than I have seen and a coppery brown color instead of the gold guilt. I show the small button along side one of full size I found last year. Last years is what I am used to seeing and didn't even know there was a cuff button or smaller version. It's a Waterbury mark as shown. Anybody ever seen a small one like this?

You may be right - I can't begin to tell. The backmark however is correct which makes me wonder.

Well its a newer version in cuff size is all... thats definately a 20th century back mark...

The style of the backmark(lack of serifs on letters) is probably post civil war. That's my guess.

agreed - now that you point it out that makes sense - another post agrees that it is a modern back mark........thanks for responding.
