Labor Day Silver Dollar

I've found that the larger coins, like quarters and halves DON'T sink as fast as the smaller ones.I remeber in the 70's finding a lot of quarters and halves(1900-1965) only a few inches down.Dave

Wow, awesome find man! Excellent quality too...

Where-abouts in Minnesota do you live? I'm in St. Louis now, but I used to live in Minneapolis. I've only been here about 4 years. Every time I go back to Minneapolis to visit I try to get out with the detector, but never end up spending much time with it after all of the socializing and everything. I have a bunch of old maps of Minneapolis, and one of these days I'll have to take a trip up there strictly for coin hunting.

I live in Woodbury, half way between St. Paul and Hudson. Let me know when you're in the area with your detector -- would be fun hook up. I can show you a couple favorite sites that still produce.
