After yesterday's disaster, which we posted here: http://www.findmall.com/read.php?30,316448,316448#msg-316448 We broke down and decided to hit a park... but one with a beach! We had a late start today. When we arrived Bia and I hunted dry and surf but it took me a while to get in the water because it was so cold. After a few hours Bia pulls a 14K ring with a ruby and 2 diamods. (The ring reads 14k but the diamonds and ruby are questionable) Of course, she was ready to leave after she found it! She is very lucky! Every time I take her out she finds a gold ring!

If there's a beach then it can be metal detected but not during summer. If you go in the playground, picnic areas, woods, etc... then you risk losing your detector and getting a ticket.

If you have one in your area, call the Park Authority and ask. You'll be suprised!
