Lake Effect! Finally! :clap:

Finally some snow! As long as the wind keeps out of the NW, Rick and I will be getting it. It will just keep pulling the warm Lake water up and drop it for days sometimes. This afternoon and tonight the local sledding hills will be packed with droppers!
Its amazingly simple to sweep these hills early in the am before sunup, just some good shoes, even tennis shoes with 2 pairs of socks are fine, gloves, and a cheap grub hoe lightweight garden tool. A very small flashlight is good, but you really dont need it, just chip the targets out and keep moving. The worse thing is hands get cold.
Be prepared to fall down every so often, just set your mind on it so when you do, you dont break your wand or something of equal import. Maybe I'll modify some shoes with a couple of sheet metal screws? Usually lots of clad in the lower third of the hill below the jumps and near the rope tow, rings will be off to the side where folks pull off their gloves to take a picture of somebody showing off. Also, hopefully we will get some snow pile areas restocked. I'll hit it tomorrow am and sweep up some freshies!

but I dont use it, unless I have to...the snow is really bright, even in the nighttime, and you can see the silouette of a coin...Once those kids try a jump beyond their capability, they hit the ground and bullwinkle down the hill spilling clad like some sort of human pinata! School is out today, so that hill will be packed! I shoveled twice already, its easier to move 3" twice instead of 6" once. Hey Neita, if a fellow gets thirsty, theres always plenty of snow around to eat !uke:

Yep we got hit,the white stuff is every were,oh mud just be careful and remember not to eat that yellow snowI did manage to get out yesterday in the morning during the light rain,then things started to get ugly,very high winds up to 40 mph gusts,then snow,think I found about a buck in clad,it was brutal!! ...happy new year!!....hh rick in mi.

An Old detectorist I once ran across..Used Old fashioned Golf Shoes with the Metal Cleats.. he swore by them on Sled hills..
............................................... He also put several spike type pins through his "Winter Knee Pads".... so he would dig in when digging LOL....

I was wondering what happened to ya over the last few days or so. Thought maybe you had rolled down the hill and got stuck in a snow pile for a couple days. Then someone finally found ya, rolled ya some more to get your finds, then they drove you to the hospital where you spent a couple days in ICU. But...... that was just my wild imagination.
