The CZ3D pulled through.... this is what I love about the hobby. It was about 2 inches down, rang high to mid-high on the detector.

LOL i know its so great. Right in the middle of his yard.............He is pissed. But its the good kind.......!:clapping:

Congratulations Jetman :clapping:
I live in Ga also and have never found a Large cent. Can you make out the Date?

Cant read the date. Its funny cause you wouldnt think that this would be way out here. Out side of Dallas, in a subdivision. Ten feet from the front of his house. We had a beer to celebrate.

He pulled out all his old equipment; Fisher 1266, Tesaro somethin or other, Ace 250 and my 3D. By far, my 3D was running the show today. I was cleaning up the yard, as well as verifying finds for him. I could see the jealousy running through his veins!:fisher::beers:

hi jetman. congratulations on your first large cent. there's nothing quite like it, is there? what year is it? the pics don't show it. this hobby pays well if you stick with it. thanks, and hh!

There was no other feeling like it! I can't make out the date. But it sure did the blood pumpin!

But those CZ3"s sure do like the old old coins.

He couldn't understand how I was pulling so my much change out of the ground. It was like the CZ just knew......:starwars:

Very nice find. I bet he'll think twice on letting you hunt in his yard now

Well I did some research about the coin, and how it may have ended up in his front yard. There was alot of civil war skirmishes going on in that particular area. Including alot of camps and generally speaking alot of troop movement. Come to find out. The confederate troops were paid with these. So, this weekend, when I am over there again, I am going to do some more M'Ding and see what we find.
