Last Friday's hunt with some buds

Last Friday I hunted with a group of guys from the club at the same park where I found a seated dime at last Wednesday. I was fortunate enough to find a 1903 V nickel, no date buffalo, 1913D, 1917, 1918, 1919 wheats, 1920-30s era dog tag, and a brass lock which was about 8

Don't have any info on the Lock but it is Old just by the looks of it. I just wanted to say that this was the Proof that the Minelab's are better detectors than White's. The guys with White's found some Coins but the Minelab was making more finds and I bet if you went over the exact same area as the White's User's had done, you would have pulled a few Old Coins that they missed. Good Luck and HH.

lock read 00 29 when I checked digital and I thought it was a large silver coin so it was slow careful digging. It was a bear to dig out of the clay without damaging it.

Nice finds GAry..Good Lock from US Lock company.

E.T. Fraim Lock Co., in Lancaster, Pa about 100-110 years ago. The brass lock and others like it also had the letters; MAIL, RR (rural route), or RFD and were sold in hardware stores and mail order catalogs for locking rural mailboxes when RFD mail delievery started. 'US' was just another name. This info was given to me by a knowledge guy on the web. HH Gary
