Last one of the year

This time it was the other way around. Got this on my second dig. Hunted for four hours after the find and came up with a lot of clad, keys, sinkers etc but no more jewelry.

This will probably be my last one of the year as I'm going to give detectin' a little break. I'm tired.

The ring is 5.8 grams of 10K white gold with five fairly decent sized diamonds. It fits me great and sort of matches my personality...kind of a macho loser wannabe rich guy.

Hey Gulf Hunter,

Good to hear from you. The odds have to be astronomical but nothing surprises me now when it comes to detecting. I once loaned my backup detector to my brother who was visiting. He had never used a detector before. I told him jokingly "If you're gonna dig like a girl...dig like a big girl." He found a 14Kt ring within the first ten minutes that had about twenty small diamonds in it. Go figure.
