Well I was able to get out this past weekend for a little on Saturday and Sunday. Sorry James, wish I could of made it on Sunday but I did manage to get out locally with Joel aka Crispytoo for a while on Sunday. However, I am glad to hear that park that I suggested produced a few nice ones for ya :)

Saturday I hit an old park and picked up:
1950 Rosie Dime
1905 Barber Dime
1883 Indian Head
1903 Indian Head
1944 War Nickel
Dateless Buffalo Nickel

I hardly ever did nickels, but just recently I have been trying to zone in on the sound and where they hit. I was lucky enough to dig 2 this time :)

Sunday started out to be a major bust as I had unexpected husband duty :( and was unable to make a long road trip to meet up with JamesND, but after the morning passed I was able to get away for the rest of the day and meet up with Crispytoo. We hit up a few local spots and I was able to grab the following:
1887 Indian Head
1945 Merc

Thanks Joel, I had a great time, we will have to do it again soon.

I haven't had a chance to clean up any of the finds, but I wanted to scan them in while I had a moment to post.

darn nice haul michelob love the barbers and indian heads wtg

Great digs cuz!! keep up the great work. Those older coins are really piling up this season for you. Love the posts man.:clapping:

Good stuff "Cousin Mike".

Road trips are always good.

I am trying to learn lower conductor hits a little better too...but man it just "aint" no fun.

I'm sure it would become fun real fast though if some shiny yellow stuff would pop out:biggrin:

My post will be up around 6:30pm tonight of all the finds I got last Saturday and Sunday. 90+ Keepers for those 2 days! :surprised: I would have had it done this morning but had internet problems again. Hopefully it won't happen again. I will let you know what's going on this weekend and maybe I can meet up with you somewhere along I-94 and do some detecting this Sunday. Congrats on the great finds! I'll keep you posted on any plans. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you.

I haven't snapped any pictures of my finds in a long time. Today I did go out to the spot where you snagged the 1887 Indian and managed to nick my own '01 Indian and got a '44 Merc. I know there's more silver there but it is being masked by iron like this Merc was (it was next to a nail). Anyway, nice job on the finds Mike. Let's get out again real soon as I I'm in a constant state of jonesing!!

Yes, I didn't find much else in that immediate area, but went further down and that's where I picked up the Barber. Im lovin it.

Good job on the Merc and injun pulls. That place still has some goodies for sure, its just a matter of going slow like you do.

As far as the coin pics, I find it way easier to scan them in on my scanner than take a picture using my digital camera.

Yes, we need to get together really soon again. I hope the weather holds up for the weekend here, they are calling for rain. I have a graduation party to attend on Sunday, but Saturday might work. I need to double check.

nice finds michelob
