Last weekend finds.

I didn't get out this last weekend like I wanted to. I only got out for about 4 hrs on Saturday and did some hunting on Sunday about noon. Stayed local on Saturday and found a few finds and Sunday I returned to the hot spot that give up 21 Silver last weekend. Well, I was in shock to only come home with only 3 Silver from this site on Sunday and a bunch of other Wheat's. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't hitting any Silver but I sure could walk into the Wheaties. Oh Well, Better Luck Next Time I Guess. Well, here's what I ended up finding. I found 4 Silver this weekend. They included 2 Washington Quarters dated 1943-s and 1959-d, 1 Mercury Dime dated 1944-d, and 1 Roosevelt Dime dated 1946. I also found an old Watch fob and an old Badge. The Watch fob was only about 2" deep and would have been passed up if it wasn't for me digging shallow targets since there is older coins at this depth also. The Watch fob says Bankers Casualty Co. Minneapolis. The only thing bad about this find is that it is bent a bit and that is why some of the enamel is flaked off. The Badge I found is a 1934 Licensed Chauffeur Minnesota Badge with a number of 18505 on it. Wouldn't it be neat to find out who this belonged to? I also found another Token that says For Amusement Only on the front and on the back it has the Town Name and Entertainment Group. Sorry for no pic of the back but I think I should keep this private so it don't give out my location. I also found 2 Indian Heads dated 1894 and 1900. I found 1 more Canadian Penny dated 1940 also. And now for the Wheat's. I had a total of 26 Wheat Pennies this time and the dates are as follows, 1910,1912,1917,1918,1919-s,1920,1924,1935,(2)1937-d,1938,1942,1942-d,(3)1944-d,1944-s,(2)1945,(2)1946-d,1947-d,1950-d,1951-d,1952-s, and 1958-d. I also found another 1959-d Lincoln Memorial Penny. I also found 3 Keys and a back off of an old Pocket Watch. Well, that does it for now and I just hope to have better luck next time out and hope that I don't have anymore computer problems.[attachment 36243 Silver.jpg][attachment 36241 WatchfobandBadge.jpg][attachment 36242 WatchfobandBadgeBack.jpg][attachment 36245 IndiansCanToken..jpg][attachment 36250 Cents.jpg][attachment 36238 Misc..jpg]

That Chauffers Badge is really a neat find and I don't believe it would be that hard to track down to find out where it was issued and even to whom. I would assume each county or equivelant would authorize them. For a site you nailed last time you did pretty darn good. WTG and nice finds.

I should have done alot better but I didn't work any kind of Pattern at this site yet. Next time I am patterning it off and then I should have more luck. This place is huge and it would take months to even try and pattern the entire area. Thanks again JB and Good Luck and HH to you when you get out.

Let's hope next weekend is twice as good.

A bad day for you would be a phenomenal day for me. But I'm not going to congratulate you on those meager finds. It must be almost embarrassing to post such a pittance. Now get out there next time and make up for this disgrace! :nono:

James, on a different note,I wanted to ask where you got your digger? It seemed like such a nice one and worked pretty well, I'd like to get one, maybe.

All right, back to work you slaves.

Doug

I got my digger from Rick. I am pretty sure he has some in stock again so check with him. And as far as the meager finds go from my last weekend hunt, I can almost promise that I will have more finds next post. Good Luck and HH Doug!:detecting:

Just hope to find some more Silver finds in quantity before the end of the season. Thanks again. Good Luck and HH.
