Was detecting around a old cellar hole the other day and found some U.S. Marine Corps 1850-65 2piece 13 stars buttons .All were in the same hole . Also found the two flat buttons .

n/t

The buttons were in real nice condition when they came out of the ground . All of them still had the thread on them . I received some PM's asking what coil I was using .It's a Detech DD Excelerator 7x4.5 coil . The buttons were down 7in. and had no problem picking them up . It works great in the mineralized ground we have here in MA . Here in the States Kellyco sells them .

Those really cleaned up nice and are crystal clear, how do the backs look??? I find quite a few newer one's in the WWII era but nothing to compare to those. WTG and Congratulations

Those shanks are really good looking and appear to be almost perfectly intact and straight, very nice indeed. Thanks for posting the picture of the back's.
