late 1700-early1800 cufflink

found this today at late 1700-early1800s site. Previously found war of 1812 pewter script infantry I button,musket balls,flat buttons, other cool relics... Not sure on an ID on this cufflink but still very cool!
 
Really nice save. This is a "fouled anchor" design used for Royal Navy Captains and Commanders from 1770-1790. The examples I've seen are missing the link. It may have some historical significance to that region.
 
Nice find, great when you pull up an old flat button and It has something neat like that on it. Most times you don't even realize it till ya get home and do a little cleaning.
 
yeah i could see something was on it but didnt have a clue until I got in the car and double checked it. Anyhow I had it confirmed to be a British Navy circa 1790-1820.
