That was a pretty good guess with it being an end of a harmonica. They must have really used a lot of them back in the day. Almost all the old homes ive ever hunted i find weeds from them all over the place.

I posted another pic of the item in question in the forum. I don't believe it to be a harmonica plate as I've found them before. I'm not sure if my original pic was confusing -- it's actually the front and back view pictures combined into one file. Thanks.....Jeff
