Lawn Mower Borders

all iron

Member
Went to the local park today for the 100Th time :detecting:. This park was established in the 30's
Stopped at one of the oldest pavilions as i have before and hunted around the edges of where the care takers have mowed.
I asked myself... why stop there? / Because that's where the lawn mowers stopped?
So off into the woods where there were many old large trees. The signals quieted down but was able to pick up 4 Wheaties in about 10 Min's ranging from 1920 to 1944. The rain let loose and chased me out of the woods but I'm looking forward to going back to find that BIG SILVER.
When hunting woods i hunt woods but when hunting local parks, I've always stopped at the lawn mower borders ( Not any more )

PS: wouldn't it be cool to find an old Wishing Well

That's sweet you know there has to be some good stuff out there if you found 4 wheat's that quick!
Also I can sympathise about the rain went to the next town and paid the electric bill and stopped at a tot lot got out put on phones set up the machine swung a couple of times and the sky opened up luckily truck was close by.
You have to wonder what those coins were doing in the woods next to the park? :smoke:

good luck next trip TNDIGGIN

Rain got me today, too, except for about an hour early this morning. Guys, a lot of things happen in wooded areas around parks. Some wonderful recoveries can be made in those wooded areas. HH jim tn
