LCDs and cold weather.

I bought a MXT from Bob Kerr (excellent guy BTW and my first detector) and haven't taken it out due to the weather. Once the snow is gone, what is an acceptable/safe temp to take it out at? Do the LCDs get abused during shipment in the winter due to cold temps, or all of them in proper climates during transit? Thanks in advance.

This ole fat boy don't hunt in the snow but I have read where others do with no problem. Some of these hard core guys dig in frozen ground so I would assume the MXT is working okay. I have never read where cold weather affects it's usage.
The only thing I know you do need to watch out for is getting the display unit wet.
