Learning Curve of The F75 SE?

ezra

New member
Hello everyone, I'm thinking about acquiring aF75 SE. I started reading some of the posts about this machine, Does it have a steep learning curve with the machine? I currently own a MXT and a Sov GT. and I am thinking about this machine and I;m wondering if I would biting off more than I can chew trying to learn this machine. Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated .Thank You ,Ezra.

It is actually pretty easy to set up and use. There might be a slight learning curve for understanding what it is telling you that is under the coil, but beyond that, there is not programs within programs and "on" this and "off" that to contend with. It is a pretty straight forward detector. HH jim tn

If this was your first detector I would say you may be a bit hard to get the hang of it, but being know how to detect and run the MXT I would say you will not have any problems. When I ordered my Ltd and it went back order I had people telling me you will have problems with it. I had some time to kill so I down loaded a manual and read it through several times and then went back through it and just looked at the items I didn't understand. When the machine got here I was ready to burn my first set of batteries just play around the house. After that it was pretty much straight forward from there.

You may want to consider the Ltd with the Boost process, a lot of people really like this process including me.

Bottom line I would go for it.

I never ran a WHITE but the sov gt was my last and some other minelabs before that; The f75 LTD is much quicker to pick up and go and it does in my humble opinion much better at the job. You should have no problem.
Good luck HH

Lots of reading on here and on the net on how to set them up to run better. The new LTD version is an easier machine to learn on. Feel free to ask me anything specific on the machine.
You made a good choice coming here for help! :beers:

Easy to learn, Great depth.... and a small amount of getting familiar with it is a better term than "LEARNING CURVE"..... Learning Curve to me implies I have to be taught how to use it.. Not so with the F75..

Thanks for the your opinions they are greatly valued. I am hoping to go look at one within the near future , before I make a commitment to throw a chunk of money on a other detector. i am going to keep reading as much as I can till I get to look at one. Ezra.

Ezra, I moved from the White's DFX to the F75 LTD last year and I felt the learning curve was very easy. I often questioned myself with the DFX wondering if I had all the settings at the optimal position. With the LTD I just set it to run stable and dig.

Good luck

Dave
