looks just like the one I have. I bought mine in 1973. At the time it was special order from Japan. I bought it in Hawaii.

Report the find to you police department and they can run a NCIC check to see if stolen. Laws differ in areas but after a certain amount of time may legally become yours if not stolen. Being a retired cop these have stolen written all over them. One wonders if the damp ground would damage the internal components. For peace of mind do the above. Found in your possesion or try to sell them and could be classifieds as receiving stolen goods..One wonders with all the used or for that mattter new detectors sold on classifieds are they stolen...

We're not talking coins, these items have serial
#s and this should be reported to the Police.
If no one claims them, or no documentation on file, Lefty Bob should be able to keep what he discovered.
Local Law Enforcement can quickly run the serial #s through the Automated Property System to see if they come back stolen. Judging by the vintage, I don't think so... Maybe the owner had a mean wife who didn't approve of his photography hobby so he hid his cameras from her for safe keeping.... I don't know, just speculation.
Oh, Jenzilla just left for work.... the coast is clear, got to dig up one of my Bounty Hunters and go play.

Just a thought. All of those cameras are older models. I didn't see one in the group that is less than 20 years old. Most are mid-priced units. And have some value on today's market if sold. I am wondering what the insurance claim would be worth? I know for a fact that people would sometimes report their items stolen and collect the money then later sell off the items without giving up their own identity.

pretty cool finds, not worth a tremondous amount, late 60's to mid 70" vintage, lenses aren't as good as today's..really cool though to find a cache of old early slr's...I would find a photography school and see if the students need some manual cameras..those are great for learning photo basics..
