Legend in Goldfields

Howdy....It has been a while since I posted here but am back. Has or does anyone intend to use the Legend to capture gold nuggets or gold specimens? There is still frozen ground and snow here in my part of the world but I am looking forward to chasing some gold down with the Legend. I know it can be done! I like the way the threshold works. Love my GM but really do find comfort in working with the threshold. Please let me know if any of you are doing the prospecting thing.....................Bob

OK........So I took the Legend out with some small nuggets and specimens with visible gold. In Goldfield's mode, there is a threshold tone but it seems to be disconnected from the signals. Just a steady tone with no waver or bump or anything. This cannot be right. Am I missing something here? The machine reads the gold OK in multi, 20 and 40khz but with tones completely separate from the threshold. I realize this is not primarily a gold machine but I really like the threshold to work.

I think NM is working on an update to correct the threshold issue. I know the issue has been brought up and I think I remember Dilek mentioning that they were working on an update that would address that.

Thanks! Good to know. I feel like a newby with this multi-frequency machine. I thought there may be some obscure hoops one might have to jump through to match the threshold with the tone. I am looking forward to knocking down some gold with the NM Legend. I am getting old and the learning curves seem to be getting steeper.....

Dude, there are so many better detectors for gold out there than the Legend
& around the same price?

Then get a XP Deus 2 or an EQ 800
The Legend is for beginner's or intermediate skilled detectorists
🤣😂🤣🤔🤔🤣😂🤣 Oh my!! That’s funny smh with a grin.😁 I guess thirty plus years detecting makes me… well I’m not a beginner…hmmm, I must be an intermediate skilled detector because I think the Legend is a great machine.

I think every machine is different. This is my second multi-frequency detector. I have a Vanquish. Even though I have been detecting successfully for a very long time the Legend is presenting me with a pretty steep learning curve. I see the potential for a pretty good gold detector here. Just gotta fix that damn threshold !!! I am sure the fix is coming.

That's what your wife said
I can take anything that you can dish out sonny boy.---I made that response in a jovial sense but you can't handle humor.-----Furthermore, you leave my wife out of your dumb ass statements.-----It's one thing for us guys to banter/joke back & forth between ourselves but that's taking it too far.-----You do try hard to be a royal pain in the ass don't you!

Damn I got all you Legend fanboys upset.
Didn't mean to get you all butthurt.
I don’t thing anyone was upset until you got personal.
I didn’t notice your answer to Woodbutcher’s question.
If you look at other responses I believe you’ll see everyone laughing at you and your brilliant commentary. I better explain that for you. It wasn’t because we thought you were funny.
You have now taken all doubt away. You are simply a troll with no legitimate reason for being here except to try and cause problems. It’s people like you that need to be banned. Jmho
