Less Iron with SEF Coils

Is it just me or does anyone else think the pro coil seems to pick out more iron nails than SEF Coils.I ran pro coil today for first time in awhile and dug some nails put SEF coil on and problem went away I was at 1820 location with lots of Iron. What does everyone else think?

I agree also, I use the 6x8 in the heavy iron and it separates and pin points very well. I'll use the pro coil for open land and beaches. I Don't know how big the sef coil you are using, but they say the smaller coil is the way to go when hunting trashy areas. Good hunting...

I plan on ordering the 6x8, hope you are right.

I am using 6X8 like an idiot I let a 12X15 or 10X12 not sure go with one of etrac I sold.I hunted for an hour in same park that I could hardly run pro coil with 6X8 and found some wheat's and clad no problem did not dig one nail what a difference and brass bolt at 7 inches but I have not found a coin deeper than 6 inches with 6X8 maybe have not got over a deep one yet? I could hunt all day with 6X8 on the Safari but have found lots of coins.including silver has anyone found coin deeper than 6 inches with 6X8 I have found zinc fruit jar lids to 16 inches or better.

Does anyone know what kind of depth you can expect to get with the 6" DD excel. coil, when on a Safari?

Prep, I found a nice merc in the 6-8" range, I think that's pretty promising, there are probably more down there, But the 6x8 is nice, I'm using it 80% of the time. I also hit some small copper screws that came up as a 38, had to look real close in the dirt to find it. good luck...
