my cousin Mike from Minnesota. He is posting under the name "Michelob". Mike has been my hunting partner longer than anyone except for my Dad, going back as far as junior high. When most guys that age were chasing girls, we were chasing silver.......and girls....nothing wrong with multi-tasking right?:super:

although we live states apart, we still try to get together often and hunt together. I'm headed up there for a 5 day hunt next month and we will be ready to tear it up. He has been an avid lurker here for years and sometime posts but promises to contribute here more. He has a wealth of knowledge about detecting and I look forward to what he has to offer.

Oh BTW, he is the one that Bryce mentions in this post here http://www.findmall.com/read.php?19,837283,837283#msg-837283

Welcome Mike. Glad to have you here cuz.

Welcome aboard Mike. Everytime I think of Michelob I think of drinking them and getting the gold speckles all over my hands, heehee.

Hey, maybe if you guys are up to it, maybe when you come to Minnesota Bob, we all could hook up somewhere and do a little detecting together. I'm sure I would have a friend with also so this would have to be up to you fella's of course. Let me know and maybe we can work something out. Welcome aboard Mike and hope you have a great 2009 season for finds. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

Mike,I guess like life you will have some bad hunts, but that's what make the good ones even better. My suggestion relax and go at your own pace and enjoy your search.Buy good equipment and try to stay with one unit and be an expert with that metal detector.Good Luck.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. I am looking forward to a great 2009 season and being a part of the forums.

James does well when he goes out and much of it I feel is because he helps others when he can. It is always fun to hunt with him and if you get a chance to i am sure you will enjoy it.
