Life sure is sweet...got called in to work twice today...

Pete in MI

New member
first was to help set up 4 rooms for upcoming events.

I figure my paycheck for last payday might be about $42 before taxes. Oh yeah, I will know tomorrow as tomorrow is payday...or maybe not.

Seems the 2nd reason I was called in was to fix the boss' office...someone broke into his office. (Coincidence?) When I got there the State Police were dusting for fingerprints.

Wherher we get paid or not is unknown. Even the small check might give me a little over half a tank of gas. I was hoping for the sale of the water detector and it fell through. (no hard feelings - just hard times). After staring out at the rain for some time this afternoon I came to the conclusion - NOTHING matters.

I did decide whatever happens, I will not curse God over things and thanks to advice from a good good friend I am not mad at any one. Hope all works out for everyone else.

Oh as a side note, the other maintenance guy quit today. I am now the head maintenance guy so maybe I will be getting more hours in. As they say "Better late than never'

Blessings all

Pete

Just like having a pet rattlesnake, he knows he needs you but he will strike when he feels like it,

got called at 6:15 AM to come in....water leaking from the roof was leaking through a ceiling tile. Got there at 6:45 with 32 oz of coffee - no breakfast.

12:45 PM - no break, no lunch, no time to do other things I needed to do but could not stick it out any longer...working in the insulation was making me itch like crazy. Went home and still has lots of coffee left to drink.

Did get my check just over $43 and still no pay raise as promised. Put about 3/4 tank of gas in with it.

Well wanted to check mail. Today is Josh's 24th birthday and we are taking him out for a meal (planned awhile back when we had more money). Oh well. Need some sleep before driving...remember I am the one with a drivers license and can see to drive when not 'nodding off'.

NO JOB IS WORTH KILLING YOURSELF OVER!:nono:
Keep putting in applications and praying that the Lord will place you where He can best use you.

Life is sweeter with Jesus! When things seem to turn sour, pray diligently and ask sweet Jesus to sweetin your life and others too! Tell Josh I'm sendng a great Big Birthday Wish to him and oh to be 24 again and know what I know now! Oh me and oh my, hopefully, life would be different and for the better than what it was and happier with Jesus, as my own, personal Savior, much-much sooner!

God Bless!
