I bought this detector new at the end of April of 2007 ( 25th to be exact) and have never used it without the covers on the box or screen. It is in great condition. I may trade it for an Explorer SE in like condition. I will trade it with one extra coil and rod, the Jeff Foster book, owner's manual, Jimmy Sierra book, rechargeable battery with charger, battery pack, and maybe the DVD that came with it, I would have to look for that tho. The only thing that ever had dirt on it is the handle and the coil, and those will come clean easy enough. I am pretty sure that I have the box also. You can pick between the 5" concentric coil and the 4X6 shooter DD coil to go along with the stock coil. Thanks for looking!
