General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.

Whites's MX Sport purchased 3/16/2016 with transferable factory warranty good until 3/15/2018. Transfer warranty online at http://www.whiteselectronics.com/support/warranty-registration The detector only has a few hours use and except for minor scuffs on bottom of skip plate is spotless. Detector has latest 3/24 factory firmware update. Includes eight new AA batteries, White's Ultra Light Headphones (unused), headphone adapter dongle, and MX Sport hat. Will be shipped in original box.

The detector sells new online for $749.00. My price of $629 includes Priority Mail shipping to all location in the U.S. I accept PayPal, Postal Money Orders, and wire transfers. Questions send me a PM or email contact@detectorprospector.com

The firmware update appears to have fixed the tones smearing issue I observed. Other than checking for that I have not used the unit any further other than to decide it is just not for me. My initial experience with the machine was not good and White's officially declaring existing coils will not work properly with the MXS was the final straw. I thought it might be made to work with my Bigfoot coil but that appears to have been wishful thinking, therefore I am just keeping my DFX and letting the MXS go.

People not knowing what this tones issue is about, tape a dime then a nickle then another dime in a row on a plastic ruler 3 - 4 inches apart. Units that have not been updated will deliver one long tone if swept over the three adjacent targets. Units that have been updated will deliver three distinct signals. Units are only being fixed on a case by case basis so there are plenty floating around without update. Since White's warranties are transferable if you get a used one and it does not have update White's will still take care of it.
