Little Park Gave Up A Keeper

Old Longhair

Nothing earth shattering. I just had to kill a little time while waiting to get paid for work near a small town about 75mi from home today. Drove around on a few sidestreets and spotted a small park along side a stream. I know a few guys in that neighborhood that hunt with E-trac's and CTX's, so I didn't have very high expectations but it was a place to hunt. I didn't find too much, just a $1.70 or so in clad and mems, so I headed back toward the parking area and met up with Ben, soon followed by a '45 Wheat.

He ain't very purdy, but he sure made that 1

Nice! Congratulations! Just found my first and only half earlier this year. That's a good feeling because I think we all find thousands of coins over a decent period of time but you're never expecting big silver like that. Way to go!

Thats a keeper you don't see alot of those posted nice silver piece.
Ol ben is kinda ugly LOL....

Good recovery. You say it ain't purdy? With today's prices of silver, anytime you can pull out that much with one beep......its purdy! Nicely done. HH Randy

I did'nt mean the silver half was'nt purdy I was talking about Ben just agreeing with longhair.

No problem...I wasn't referring to your response.......I was agreeing with Old Longhair too! HH Randy

Being worth about $12 in melt, it really doesn't matter that the the numismic value isn't much, I'll take all I can find.
O'l Ben was never known for his good looks, but in silver he does look better.
