little worried???

Hello guys, im worried that my x terra 705 its not working 100% well,

2 weeks ago i was detecting and suddenly the threshold went off and there was no beeping when the detector located a target the threhole apperaed again this happend in a hour about 25 times, i changed the batteries everything ok .


Yesterday happend the same thing i could listen to the threshold suddenly went off no beeping about 5 seconds located a target threshole i could listen to it again , about 5 minutes went off again located a target and sound appeared again and like that 2 minutes or one minute or five minutes

i use duracel batteris

If threshold becomes dumbed like that while hunting with zero discrimination,? It means you have a problem.

What does the screen do while it's messing up? Anything odd? If there is a coil communication problem it should show CE.

If there is a problem that doesn't make itself obvious, try a factory reset. Make sure that all battery contacts are OK and not bent to where contact may be intermittent.
If that doesn't help, check the function of faceplate buttons while it's not operating properly to see if there is more to it, and call Minelab Customer Service.

Nop longhair EVERYTHING IN THE SCREEN ITS OKAY .......FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I PUT A BRAND NEW BATTERIES DURACELL, DIDNT HAPPENED AGAIN THAT DAY, USED IT FOR 3 MORE HOURS , TO WEEKS PASSED, YESTERDAY I WAS PREPARING MY SELF AND IN THE FIRST MINUTE , I HAD MY THRESHOLD IN 14, THRESHOLD WENT OFF , ABOUT 30 SECONDS FOUND A TARGET AND THRESHOLD I COULD HERA IT AGAIN THIS HAPPEN MANY TIMES, SOMETIMES, 1 HOUR PASSED AND EVERTHING OK BUT SUDDENLY THE PROBLEM CAME BACK AGAIN

The first time I thought of did you unplug the headphones to see if it still does it. If not then it might be your headphones acting up.

Mark, He can here everything else so I do not think it's that. I was thinking about the same also after I saw your post and came to this conclusion.

Had a similar thing happen with my Xterra 70, I would be detecting and all of a sudden I would loose the threshold and when I hit a target and nothing and then it would work again. I tried everything except new headphones. Turns out my headphones had a short that was causing the problem.
