Hi all,
In case you haven't seen it, there is an Ebay auction for litz wire if someone wants to play with it.

3X .0028 is not a good choice for search coils. You are better off using something more like 20 X 40. I use 50 X 40 which is 50 strands of 40AWG. The 3 strands will not do much for you. e-Bay is a very good place to find litz wire. I have won auctions for several rolls there, Dave. * * *
