Hi,I just thought I would share a photo of some recent finds at some local parks as well as the local racetrack.No gold as yet,but lots of junk jewellery,and some not bad silver, and lots of old pennys and halfpennys,plus some modern currency .As we live in a popular tourist area I guess that explains the overseas coins.......cheers.

Howdy Brian,maybe I had better explain,I live on the east coast of New Zealand in a popular surfing town,we get a huge surge of visitors in the summer months.I do some mding at the beach,but I find the the parks (ie playgrounds,horse racetrack,rugby and sports grounds far more productive).I am probably a bit spoilt we have a static population of 30,000 and I have only ever seen one other person detecting so virtually have the area to myself,I try to get out every 2nd day for an hour or two,and learning more and more each day about my 705.........regards kiwijim
