Here.s my very first post here.
Hello all. I,m Dang. I been detecting for a little while and just acquired a ace 250. A friend actually owns it but doesn't really like it because, as she describes it, sounds to much like a Las Vegas casino. I had a Whites idx pro w/bills mods but it was stolen out of my car and I've been using my old Tesoro Toltec 100 till I can afford a new detector. The Toltec is a great machine but she weighs a ton.
So my friend offered me the Ace250 as a sub and I must say what a great little machine she is. At first I also found myself at the "casino" but discovered that if I lowered the sensitivity to about 4-5 bars it was much more stable. (In some areas I'm able to use 6 bars.)
After reading many of your post concerning the A250 I might just go out and buy one myself. Many, if not all of you Ace 250 users are pretty satisfied with it, right?
Is there actually additional coils for it now? I didn't see any accessories for the a250 except the original coils cover ($14.95) on Garrett's Site. But some of you guys mention a sniper coil. Where can I get that?
