I have only used my new T2 three or four times and I have found old coins deep with it every time out. Today I got out for 4 hours to a church camp with loads of coins and some 100 year old coins mixed in with the newer stuff. I have been battling a bad back for several months and I just can't dig everything like I use to. I only dug targets deeper than 5 inches. I must have found 50 quarters and dimes in the first three hours, but nothing old. Finally, I got a deep(7inches) nickle number and I didn't find it until I got to the eight ince depth and it was a 1906 V nickle in remarkable shape. Ten minutes later I got a 93 number that was deep when I checked in pinpoint. I was sure it was silver and it was a large mans silver ring with a gold inlay. An honest nine inches and the signal was not muted! I was just about ready to quit and I was swinging my way back to my truck when I got a bouncing nickle and an eighty some signal that was again 8 inches deep in pinpoint. First thing I came to was a 1935 Buffalo that was about eight inches deep. I rescanned the hole and there was something else in the hole. I checked it with my handheld pinpointer and there was a coin on the side of the hole completely vertical at about the six inch mark. This turned out to be a Canadian dime(1967) and I dug it out with my fingers. It was vertical. This is one powerful and accurate detector. I am seeing many selling used and I can't believe that people are jumping out of them so quick. I had read that the T2 is a better relic hunter than coin shooter, but it as good as any detector out there for coins. One little quirk that I have noticed when using it as a coin hunter. When I use the 3 tone mode, I seem to dig a lot of pulltabs and I don't seem to get the great depth that I get in the 2+ mode. When I pass over a coin in the 2+ mode, I get a crisp signal and along with the super accurate VDI numbers, it is DEADLY on coins. Another thing I have found helpful is to ground balance it every time it gets to chirping. It is extremely simple and fast. I don't think the F75 will be any better performing, just a couple of options to make an already easy maching even easier to use. Just my two cents. R.L.
