Looked back and

Mike Chgo area

Well-known member
prayed for all requested prayers. Hope all are doing well. Went back to that forest preserve last week in the same area. Nothing at all that time. More rain has come so all muddy again. Hit some woodchips at school grounds over the weekend. Got 15.50 in change including 26 Quarters,53 dimes, and 17 nickels. Got one ring that turned out to be a junker along with a complete necklace of the same quality. It was good to get out without getting rained on but looks like another rainy week. :veryangry:

That is a lot of coinage!

It is a lot of coins, but not as good a result as we get here. The reason is that we have $1 and $2 coins.

These days I discriminate OUT all lower value coins as they take too much time to dig.

I have had several outings where I got $60 plus in $1 and $2 coins and many, many occasions with $30 + hauls.

I've had a few with NIL as well!

We are now hoping for a $5 coin to be introduced - that will be wonderful.

Detectorists worldwide should agitate for higher value coinage.

Imagine what a happier world it would be if we could go out each day picking up $5 and $10 coins all over the place!

This would surely be an election winning strategy. What do you think?

You scored great congrats !
