I got mine from ebay for 11.00. Andy`s daughter sells them with his autograph when u use the buy it now option.

I believe the graph on page 69 is wrong. The conductivity is right but the ferrous content is backwards. It should go higher from right to left not in the way it is depicted from left to right. This becomes obvious when you look at the sample list on page 68. It has a clad quarter reading Conductivity 29 (correct) and Ferrous 31 ????.It should be zero or 1 right? Anyway this can be confusing to new users. Has anyone else noticed this? But on the XS digital mode the only reading is conductivity so the point is mute. But in the smart-find screen you can guesstimate the value. Higher Ferrous to the left, lower ferrous to the right. Just a thought. Otherwise the book by Andy is the minelab bible. I love my copy.

I believe its out of print but might try Minelab or even mult-line dealers as they usually have a book section. Andy writes sort of more in laymans terms and with the manual may help out Explorer users new and old...Google the name and might even turn up in on line bookstores...Last but not least post the same title in detector classifieds...Basically written for the Explorer XS and S but applicable to newer models...I have no knowledge of updated versions as the 11 and SE do differ a bit...
