Looking for a cheap detector

Hello,

Just throwing this out there. Sure a lot of guys want a cheap detector. I'm currently unemployed, like a lot of other folks. I was thinking of trying to find a cheap detector, pending my wifes approval. I'm short on money, and long on time at the moment. Of course I'm sure money could be better spent. But, I live close to a few parks, some soccer fields and a state beach, and bunches of old houses, thought maybe I might get lucky on a few rings, old coins, or at least pick up some change. If possible would like to find something with some sort of pinpoint, parks around here will not let you dig so you have to probe targets.

I've had several nice detectors, but sold them for a little cash. Anyway, enough rambling, if you have something you want to let go cheap, send me an email. tozend@yahoo.com

Thanks everyone and have a great day!

How about a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505 with an extra 4" nugget coil.
Like new with box and paperwork ... $95 shipped. Check the price at Kellyco.

BOUNTY HUNTER PIONEER 505 Review by EarthMan46

I have had no problems or complaints at all, this unit just keeps humming along, two weeks ago I dug a target on the Columbia river at 14 inches the soil contains lots of black sands and gold, it was a 9 inch long piece of iron, that was very impressive for a bounty hunter, they work almost as well as units costing 3 times as much, hopefully they will update there detector line in the near future, Bounty Hunters aren

Hey I wrote that review!! Actually the 505 works much better than I first thought I was out hunting at the river again with my grandson he had the 505 and I was using my Whites TDI when I hit a good target with the TDI and about 2 seconds later my batteries died! so I asked my grandson if I could use the 505 for a minute, I put it in the allmetal mode and got a hit on the same target and started digging I went down about 20 inches and was still getting a good signal on the target, so I dug about 4 inches and found a smashed cadillac hubcap at 2 feet with the 505, this unit is way under rated!! I have passed placer gold over the coil of this unit and it picks it up, Mine is 6 years old with no problems!!!!

That's a pretty good deal for an all around GREAT detector. I have one myself.
It's the first detector that I owned and I found dropped 3-ringer Minnie ball bullets.
It really is an underrated detector. You get it in the right hands and it's awesome.
I'm thinking that if you don't buy this one I might just to have another one for the
children. Another thing about it is that it ground balances at the beach with NO
problems whatsoever. It's my choice machine for the beach. I have 6 detectors!

Happy Hunting -- Mike
