New poster here- I really like the info I am seeing here... my kind of folks.
I have some really great equipment in my arsenal, but I need to replace my old PI detector (expensive, feature light and inconsistent.) A good PI is the missing link that has kept me from finishing a few projects.
I really have no interest in going to Radio Shack and trying to build off some internet plans, yet I am not in the mood to spend thousands on something that I have never even used or proven out.
#1- What would you all consider a good value in the PI category (depths up to 20 ft.? It's impossible to determine from the ads out there.
#2- Is there somewhere that you can rent/demo various models of PI? (I found 1 to rent and it's not available.
I am in somewhat of a pinch as I am going to need something in the next week or so.
Any ideas? Anyone interested in renting/selling one?
