General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

looking for a whites DFX

I have an older model DFX. Maybe 6 years old. I bought it used 4 years ago and switched to an XP Deus 2 years ago. Worked fine the last time I used it and just checked it today with fresh batteries, it still works.The machine shows wear but was never dropped or got wet. It did get dirty a whole lot of times, hence the paint is far from pristine.
It has the stock coil and if I can find the 6" coil, I'll throw that in. Batteries are the blank cases, not the Whites rechargeables. $125.00 via Paypal and I'll ship.

And as long as I have your attention, I'll explain why the detector sold for the price; Several years ago I somehow decided I wanted to go metal detecting. I didn't know anybody who was detecting so I looked on Craigslist and found a machine that sounded good. I meet a guy who was moving out west, probably in his late 60's or more, and explained what my plans were. When he realized I had no idea what I was doing, he sat down and explained stuff for over an hour. Then he grabbed several detecting accessories from a box and handed them to me. When I was leaving and went to pay up, he took $100 off the agreed price. In the years since, I have met many great people and a couple have become very good friends. The enjoyment I got out off that machine was well worth the money I paid for it. The price pays for dinner with the wife ( who has had to tolerate me coming home smelling like top soil) and shipping.
Nowadays I guess they call it Pay It Forward.
