Looking for anyone thats done dried up river gold detecting?

looking for info on gold river hunting (dried up beds) and to see which one is the better or if there is between the g-2 or goldbug this is my main interest with these machines, if you have any experience doing this withthese machines any feedback would be apreciated
 
The Fisher gold bug pro when pumped along/ "snapshots" / seeking a possible crevice of black
sand "magnetic bargraph readings" within the dry creek bed can mark out a possible (i.e. more bars
over the channel) gold paystreak as gold,due to its higher specific gravity tends be associated
with black sands.

I understand the Teknetics g-2 has the same software. Both have the small 5-inch coil which may be
the best coil for doing this. js
 
Not yet but I'm going in the spring !!!! Cannot wait to see what north Georgia has!!!!
