Looking for info on long range detectors

I am looking at a Vernelli Magnacast 5000 and would like to hear some input from the pro's and i know there are a bunch on here!!! any info or opinions would be greatly appriciated, H.H.:thumbup: thanks Kevin
 
I do feel sorry for people who invest their hard earned $$$ on some of these "find the target quickly" locators. And it easy to see the posters who have an invested interest posting in responses on their success too. ALL of these items...dowsing, LRL's, wands and map dowsing fail miserably in double blind studies today, have always done so in the past. There has been a million bucks up for grabs for anyone who can actually find the buried treasure buried in a spot known only to the person running the test. Guess what....the money is still available. These pseudo claims, using pseudo technical words, using made up pseudo laws of science make actual money from the buyers of these scam artists. In simpler terms, it's referred to "mining the miners."

They work just as well as a forked stick or a pair of coat hangers. If you find anything using these, then consider one.
 
My long range machine is right now detecting a gold vein right in you back yard. I would sell my best Willow branch for $2000.00 so you can find it. OK, I'll take $1000.00 for it if you pay the shipping. :poke:

I know the testimonials make these things seem like they're great. But research and a metal detector will get you the goods.
 
I use bent coat hangers and they work great. :) There is a lot to be said about "water witching" with willow branches. It's an ancient art and works for some folks. Some years back I read about this old gentleman here in Oregon who is a real terror at water witching and many big companies hired him to locate many things including oil. Seems he had it down pat and located whathe was paid to locate.

I remember when I was a kid on the farm watching guys in the area "witching" for water for different people who wanted to drill a water well and by dingy they found it every time. It was amazing to me at the time to watch these guys walk around with these branches in their hands and watch the branches turn down to the ground when they were over water. Truth is often far stranger than fiction.

That's how I remember it. There was a Willow tree in this guys yard. Everyone would cut their tool of choice from it including my Dad. I watched it done several times but couldn't wrap my head around it.

Say, Bill. Do you remember Karl Von Mueller? In one of his treasure hunting manuals,(a paperback leaflet) he mentioned dowsing as a form of treasure hunting and he would not scoff at it but he would not dismiss it and had the friends who were successful-but I think he was afraid to absolutely endorse it. Just remembering.
 
i have also seen for sale a digital camera that when you take a picture in the gold fields you look at the screen and little dots in the picture thats where the gold is :rofl:
 
Yeah I remember Karl and I remember reading of his opinion on dowsing. Somewhere in my heap of information I have articles on map dowsing for treasure. Can't remember if Karl was into that or not.

I knew a man that had 5 gold mines on his farm. I have been in them. He would take pictures of the wall with a infrared camera and could see vain of gold. FOR REAL!
 
I have used the coat hanger method like Uncle Willy has described to find my buried phone lines, water pipes, and electric cables and such and it does work well. I have had to do this several times when the wife wants to plant something where I know the lines are running.

If any one wants to try it they should. Just take 2 old metal coat hangers straighten them out and bend a 90' handle part to hold onto. I have a pair that are about 12"-18" long. They seem to work better if they are not too long. Hold the bent parts in your hand loosely and have the ends pointed straight out in front of you. Walk slowly towards where you think your buried lines are and see what happens. They should go from in front of you to "in line" with the direction of the buried cable or such. You must walk some what slowly.

I have saved myself from replacing many buried utility lines this way!

Of course now that I have the ACE...
