I really like the tone reproduction in the koss phones. - 8 out of ten. The build quality though i think is way too poor for metaldetecting they are real flimsy for sure. + they kept falling off my head most every few sweeps of the coil. :veryangry:

The Gray Ghost NDT headphones are my perferred choice. They have great volume and tone and if the cord goes bad you just unhook the cord from the headphones and replace it with the extra replacement cord you get with the headphones. And that is why I bought a second pair in case the first set goes bad down the road. That is just how much I love these headphones and won't settle for a different pair.
