Been detecting for just a little over 10 years now. My first "real" detector, the one I found my first silver coin with and my first relics with was an Eldorado umax. I sold it to buy a Minelab Excalibur when I learned the Navy was going to send me to Puerto Rico. I still use the Excalibur and I have an ACE 250 but I just rejoined the Tesoro family. I really think I prefer the non-VID machines so I've got a Vaquero on its way to me now. Should be here tomorrow. We'll see what I can do with it.
