Crispy - yes, I did. I went to a new site that saw extensive Civil War fighting - over 300 acres. I hunted the first half of the day w/my MXT Pro and found a good number of bullets. Then fired the T2 up for the first time and went back over the same ground. It hit on additional bullets and my first impression of the machine is positive. I found it much more stable than others seem to have indicated. My only complaint was the headphones - my cord is way too short and I had to remove them every time I recovered a target. I don't like to do that at all. Steals time and is a pain. Also, I was a bit hesitant to use a brand new machine with which I wasn't familiar on ground I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to back to, so I only used the T2 for about an hour. But I do like it and am convinced it will give my MXT a run for the number 1 spot. I'll be taking it back over some ground I've previously hunted w/the MXT to see how it does.

Under those circumstances, I can understand your wanting to use the machine that you are more familiar with.

I relic hunt in Va, too. Soils seem to vary in mineralization around here greatly. I re-balance several times in each location.

Yes, I do as well. The MXT has ground grab on it so it updates with the push of a button. It's a nice feature when the ground is constantly changing. But GB'n every now and then is no big deal. What machine do you use?

I currently have a T2 and a White's 6000, as well as a Tesoro Silver, but I started out back around 35 years ago using only White's machines. Depth is what I'm going for now, because most everywhere around here has been hunted hard. I'm trying to get what others have missed. T2 seems to be doing it, but I'm still learning the machine. Thanks
